2010-12's dont have the open slot for the tow hooks like the 08-09's do

The car in the pic is a 2010..

I have a little square thingy in the fbumper, dunno if that's it. I think it looks cool that's all.

Technically its a tow hook for our cars. It should come in the trunk area next to the jack. Usually its used for track purposes or you could be a honda driver & add it onto ur car for looks

I bought the tow hook and did not bother to check under that little piece on the bumper, assuming from my 08 that it was still there. well i got quite the surprise when i got the tow hook and poped that front panel off. I think they must have drilled into the frame to put that one in the picture. I thought about doing that, but than i thought about when i would be towing something it would cause a transverse shear on the metal beam. depending on the beams allowed bending and the placement of that force, it could really screw some stuff up. I just didn't want to risk messing up the frame and alignment by towing something.
