my right headlight bulb went out, so its time to get a new pair. Anyone have any good recommendations on brands? I don't wanna get the GE ones from vatozone... those things look yellow and dull, but I also don't want some ricer blue bulbs from the ricer isle at pep boys (don't act like you dont browse there).

and no, I don't have HIDs

Silverstar, or the Ultra's.My friends used to make fun of my amber headlights. Waaaay old and cheap halogens. I can safely say my turn signals emitted more light. Apparently I was so used to driving based on light reflection that I didn't know how to act when I got new headlights.I can see! I can actually see!I am very pleased with the Silverstars. Bright, good spread, but not (as) annoying to oncoming traffic as those blue and purple lights people use. (and never align properly)

I have silverstars in my S14 and they are pretty nice, I usually put them in almost every car I own when I have a bulb go out. They are expensive but still cheaper then Raybrig, Piaa and etc.

Isn't Silverstar that Autozone thing?

Anyway, I'd go with Raybrigs. PIAA's

Sylvania Silverstars, I had them in my civic. The visibility difference was amazing, along with the awesomeness of whiter light instead of the yellow.

probably gonna get the s13 some of those hella enclosures then some silverstars for it.

I actually compared the Hella H4 stock bulb with a Silverstar H4 bulb, and I think the Hella's are brighter than it...

no worries. i have them inside hella housings, with individual relays to let the headlights pull power from the battery instead of through the switch, then i polish them with the tears of gypsies.

Jon like them yellows for the fogs

As far as your individual relays, did you notice any difference in brightness with that setup?

a little. not a shocking difference, but a difference worth 15 bucks. (just relays, terminals, and wiring).

I used to run PIAA Xtreme Whites (not in my 240sx though)...read http://www.danielsternlighting.com/ and then headed over to http://store.candlepower.com and ordered up a ton of bulbs. They don't have the amber turn signals the S14 needs, but I wasn't looking to make those brighter anyway (there are bulbs on ebay that will do this, search for Polarg M8's).

For my S14 I picked up:2x Narva Rangepower+50® Ultra High Output 55w H12x Narva RangePower+50® Ultra High Output 55w H3(for the H3's some prefer the selective yellow lights like http://store.candlepower.com/tugoseyeh355.html)2x HIR bulbs: 9011 (HIR1) (EXCELLENT REPLACEMENT for 9005's)2x Reversing (back-up) light #796 (2x as bright)5x Parking, City, Marker, Trunk, Cargo compartment 2886X 2x Brake, Tail, Turn Signal P3496 2x Brake, Tail, Turn Signal P3497

For your H4's check out: http://store.candlepower.com/h4hb29003bulbs.htmlÅ

If you want, you can have my H4 Silverstar bulb Adrian. As something for temporary until you find something brighter.

Walmart carries Silverstar. I had them on my DD and both went out within a year. I like them a lot, but wish lasted longer than that. Sure, got them from Walmart. You can go to their website to get the correct code for your car.

zerothread?id=224952

this thread was with the bulbs the kit came with, now i have piaas. i made a thread on them, but no wiring directions. its rather easy to copy yourself, just relays and wiring. just like foglights, but use the stock harness and wire the relays to be triggered by the headlight wire to pull power from the battery (then wire the power wire from relay to the stock headlight harness).

thanks for the offer dude..

Im actually gonna pick up a pair today... and my cibie's still have the euro driving lights, so my passenger headlight still lights up, theres just no h4 output.

plus I got a coupon from autobacs like last week, spend $50 or more, get $25 off final order.
