Anyone found a Cargo Net that fits the EX35?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Had my EX35 for about 2 months now and love it!

I have the cargo area protector and cargo organizer. Both are fine, however I was wondering if anybody has found a Cargo Net that fits. The one from a G35 doesn't fit as it's not wide enough. With the orginizer out I'd like to have a cargo net so things don't "roll around" back there.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I have kept the net from a 99 MB ML430 (dreadful car)that I have used on three cars since, including the EX. It works reasonably well, but the connectors on the back of the second row seats are a little high. That being said, it was essentially free.

It's not clear to me how a cargo net is supposed to be used in the EX35; it seems to be lacking rings in the floor to hook on to, which I would've thought would be the best arrangement. The things on the back of the rear seats are I think meant for a child seat, and aren't very useful for a cargo net since they're too high as kullenberg said. If you put a rear seat down, another ring becomes visible (the top of the seat latches on to it) that you could hook a net on to, but it's also too high (unless you have tall cargo). The picture below shows what I did. I think the net I'm using came with a 2000 Nissan Sentra. It has 6 hooks; I put the middle hooks on the lower rings in the back, and the outer hooks on the upper rings, to create a kind of pocket that I can put small things in.

I just got my EX a few days ago, when picking up I asked about a cargo net and dealer gave me one from FX50, fits fine.

Very helpful ... any chance you can post a pic of it? Also, any idea of the cost?

Thanks,David

Did you hook it up the same way that I did in my picture above, or some other way?

The European Infiniti site for the EX37 shows that it has 4 hooks on the floor for a cargo net to attach to in a more useful way. The US EX35 unfortunately doesn't seem to have those hooks.

The dealer told me that there is not one for the US E35 without the 4 European floor hooks. He sold me one for a M35 and I use it with short bungi cords to reach the rear hooks and it works great. Tried the one for the FX but it was too wide and just kind of hung loose back there. The one for the M fits like a wide sack across the back just like in the G's or M's and just keeps things in it from rolling or sliding forward.

sg77, thanks for sharing this!

I see a lot of cargo nets on ebay for sentra after 2002. Do you think it will fit as good as yours?

I'm not sure. I looked on ebay and saw one "07 Nissan sentra cargo net OEM" that looks kinda similar, except I don't see any hooks in the picture. My net has hooks to attach it to the rings.

I'd try my wife's G35 cargo net, but it's doing double duty keeping our Yorkie from going upstairs.
