Car: Infinity G37 - looking to purchase

Post

I recently sold a car listed on Craigslist - similar experience to when the only way to advertise was in the newspaper. In that in selling cars over the years, I've always found that only one or two people will actually come to look at vehicle - but one will buy - quickly, as they're all concerned that someone else will purchase the car.
Two people came
Both wanted the car - even though there were obvious issues that they saw.
Once they indicated they wanted to purchase - I insisted on cash. First person with a deposit in his pocket purchased the car - then came back with balance of cash two days later. Very smooth transaction, received a very good price equal to what KBB had posted for a car in excellent condition.

Thanks for the update. I got ppl coming to test drive (of course im going with) and im packing my glock 19! YES that was the whole reason of buying this G35 was to replace my car that went through that massive F6 tornado! Howevwer I think im just going to keep my 04 Saturn Ion that was donated to me. The tornado took out a huge hospitial and our Highschool and half the town including several shoopping supercenters. Our population is 50,000 and I went through the epicenter of that stupid tornado. I had a two story building collapse on me! here is part of my story. :spitout:

Boy....we have really jacked this thread, haven't we SVT. Sorry.

David had a black F150, I had a black G37. David had a silver F150, I had a silver 370Z. Now...David has a white FX2 Sport F150 and I have a white F-Sport Lexus.

Yesterday I got behind a guy in a '71 SS 454 Chevelle conv't that looked like it had just rolled off the showroom floor. I was hoping he would stop somewhere so I could talk to him. I was happy when he turned on his blinker and turned into a gas station. He was the original owner of the car. It only had 90k miles on it. It was AWESOME!!!! Top was new. He said it had been painted twice. Original wheels. Said he bought it new off the showroom floor and drove it home in the pouring down rain.

When I take the back road HW, I go past this place....
I've seen Superbirds, Shelby's, Cuda's, you name...on the HW when I go by it.
Either they are working on them or somebody is test driving them.
I always roll down my windows when I get behind one or see one coming! :chuckle:

If I recall, you weren't in a rush to sell it, so maybe it would be ok to wait out a little longer. However, if keeping it is costing you money every month (insurance or storage), then $8000 might be better than holding onto it for another couple months.

It's a tough call, you might be able to counter the $8000 with $8200 or something and at least get a little closer to what you wanted.

Good luck,
Lars

Im in no hurry to sell it and no its not costing me anything to store it. For some reason 8500 is stuck in my soul so I will prob just tell him thats my bottom dollar, however come test drive it and im sure its worth the extra. Then just wait for a while.
