My Eonon headunit was installed and wired according to instructions but when I try to tune the radio all i get is static. On the antenna adapter is a smaller blue wire but I don't know what this hooks to as there are no wiring instructions for the adapter. My headunit user manual says if reception is bad then there is a poor connection or bad grounding on the antenna. Do I ground this blue wire to get reception?

UPDATE: Never mind, Thanks Crutchfield!

You may have had your question answered by Crutchfield (you're lucky), however, I have just had the same question and did not get the right answer from Sonic Electronix. Com. To help others with this antenna conundrum I'll tell you what I did. The first thing you must know is that the antenna does need a 12V power supply (it is amplified), but it does not need to be grounded (it is already grounded). If you crimp the blue antenna wire to the "whatever-color-power-antenna" wire from your head unit and you get very weak reception, chances are that wire isn't hot. So, undo that connection and splice the blue antenna wire into a known, live 12V sorce (namely the Red "switched" wire). It took me a while to figure this out without having an ohmeter handy, but ultimately it seemed like the only logical solution. Reception went from barely anything to cup runneth over. I hope this helps some of you fellow Versa owners.
