I know there's a way to test them, but if you're high mileage you might want to replace them all when you're down there.

Someone else back me up here...

If one injector goes, the rest are sure to follow suit. It's only a matter of time.

Also, depending on the year of your Z, you may consider upgrading to the new style injectors. I think the N/A's got new style in 94, and the TTs got them in ....92? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Good injectors will ohm between 10-14, and if you're going to replace one especially if they're all original, you should replace them all while you're down there if you can, because Ace is right they'll all go sooner or later. I believe that 90-92 and the 93 convertible use the "old style" square top injectors, and the 93+ (minus the vert) all used the "new style" round top injectors. Hate to see you have to do it, it can be pricey and a pita if you haven't removed the plenum before, but all in all I'd say my injector problems led to a ton of knowledge and at least I can take that away.

Good luck hope you can get that taken care of.

Yeah, I looked at Z1 and the new style are very pricey. I'm going to replace the fuel filter first and dump some fuel injector cleaner and wait what happens since my engine light went away after revving for a few minutes "harshly." This is the method we did last week also...

It started last week and came back today, so we manually diagnosed the ECU for codes and its giving us 5 blinks a pause and another blink which made us lead to injectors? Is that right? ECU codes: http://www.ttzd.com/ under "Tech"

Any more advice on what to check for would be great...Thanks guys!

You could have them cleaned and flow tested fairly easily and inexpensively.

Ok, my mechanic just finished the install today and everything seems smooth. Only one is all f***ed up and my fuel hoses are also damaged...since I'm broke as f***, I only replaced one and pray to god that all the other ones will last me for at least the end of this year...

I do have a question though, since the injectors are early style its prone to damage with the ethanol gas we have these days from the stuff I reviewed...does it also ruin it when you put in gas treatments? i.e. fuel cleaners? I'll be dumping some this week preferably, redline SL-1 and also replacing my fuel filter...I just read that it ruins it faster when you put in gas treatments...any comments? Thanks.

Our injectors do not like ethanol or some brands of injector cleaner. Running good gas does more IMO than injector cleaner.
