Just wondering if any of you guys know if there is a way to couple the Injen CAI with the AEM short ram intake. I have heard better things about the AEM than the Injen short ram, but know that an Injen with full CAI is the best out there. Any way I can get the best of both worlds here? I can swing an AEM for $155, and then the Injen CAI for about $100, that'll save me a cool $40 off the whole setup. Anyone done this? Or does anyone know a place to get the Injen at anywhere close to what I can get the AEM for?

AEM: http://www.optauto.com $155Injen: http://www.enjukuracing.com $189.99, CAI $99.99

Thanks guys, I know this post sounds remarkably newbie but hey.

I've looked everywhere--have not found anywhere cheaper than enjuku for the injen. I would like to know if the Injen CA ext fits the AEM intake though.:help

You post. The more you post, the better it gets. They used that to replace the Junior Member/Member system that was in place before.

is the aem short ram really that much better than the injen one? is it because aem uses a k&n filter? actually what i was thinking of doing was getting a short ram intake and then getting the pivot headlight adjuster, that way i'll be letting in *some* air to the filter. but i like the fact that the injen cai is removable from the short ram, good for bad weather i think

And if anyone wants to give me an opinion on the AEM while you are at it I'd appreciate it, it looks like that is going to be my top choice, I plan on going turbo at some point so even close to $300 for very temporary fun seems not worth it, and I need to get my 3 inch exhaust on and that takes $$ too. But I want your opinions on the AEM for the KA24DE, all of you that have it.

I found a place selling the Injen for something like $160...I think it is Adventon.com. They don't have a lot of parts for the 240 but seem to have very reasonable prices overall.

someone should get in touch with the place that is doing the 129$ and see if we can get it down to like 100-110 with a big group buy..because we all need an intake(except you punks who already bought them)

Injen CAE will not fit on the AEM short ram.

You can get an imitation Injen short ram, which is much cheaper, looks exactly the same (without INJEN decal), AND fits the CAE fine. Only problem is, I forgot where to get it =)

Call them a couple weeks ago, they do not have it anymore--they don't have any intakes at all.

I use the AEM, and everything I have read about, and experienced with it, I would highly recommend it. One advantage, it is coated with some sort of heat insulating powder-coat/gloss-coat that I don't believe the Ingen has. I lost the paperwork for it, but if you order it, it will explain the whole idea... It's a great product, and a very easy install, with noticable gains in performance.. (don't get me wrong.. it's just an intake, but you can feel a difference far more than I would have expected)

I just installed my aem intake about 4 days ago, my car sounds so much better, and yes you can tell there is a difference. You have to work the intake for a while and after a while the intake will start spouling like crazy when you drive, atleast mine does. The sound of it spouling just makes you feel even better about having the intake, though you cant hear it untill about 3000rpm inless your floor it.

Just thought I'd tell you guys that that guy who makes intakes and sells them on ebay is selling a bunch of them cheap because they are missing a fitting or something. It says that you will need to use a T fitting or something. Also, It doesn't come with a filter. Even though I am really poor right now I think I am going to order it anyway. El card de credito. :)

So what is better? Should I go and buy the AEM Short RAM Air system or should I go and buy the Injen Short with the extension kit?
