Nice. So you mean to say that you can drive a FWD car effectively in snowy and icy conditions with AWD??!! I'm being sarcastic, of course you can, it all has to do with the quality of tires. The push to add AWD for "safety" is a big marketing push to up the price of vehicles. I'm not saying AWD doesn't offer some benefits but with FWD you'll do just fine, winter tires make all the difference.
