There is a VG30DETT swap picture in one of the sticky threads at the top of this forum. I think it is the truck pics thread on one of the last pages (thread has like 5 pages).

I don't know about that 6-speed.

RB's have been swapped, there is a thread buried in this forum somewhere; I remember seeing it. Needed radiator core support cut up and radiator is moved forward. One bad thing about this swap is that, in my opinion, the radiator is in a more precarious spot, but I may be putting too much emphasis on that.

You gain nothing from having a 6 spd on a stock KA24e, they can barely handle a 5spd.

You gain a gear bahahahahahahaha can the 4 banger even pull the 6th gear? wonder what ratio it is. I know I owuld love to have another gear just higher than 5th for hwy to drop those rpms from 3k to 2700 or so save a little gas

Something tells me that is not what the OP is after.

well if you think about it instead of just being dumb (rt22)every gear would be shorter so it would rev up faster and accelerat faster

Also, there are close ratio gear kits available for the FS5W71C, at least for the 240sx vrsion. I don't know if they would fit the hardbody version, but you never know. Maybe (if it would work with the truck block) you could even use a 240 transmission with the gear set, which, by the way, is made by OSGiken. They might have discontinued them, but I'm not 100% sure.

My 1st gear is a 3.92 for my 4wd compared to your 2wd's 3.2?, so at least you got a leg up on me. I gotta hit second by 22mph max. It is good for some things, though.

I'm not sure if the ratios are different between 2wd HB's and 240's, but you can Google "fs5w71c gear ratios" for an answer if you are so inclined.
