I am looking at replacing my valve cover gaskets. Does anyone have an "idea" of a fair price for this?? Also is there anything I should have them replace while they are changing the gaskets? Thanks!!

Welcome to NICO.

I am not real sure on the labor time, but I'd think 2-4 hours would be a ballpark, although I've never done it for sure. Good idea to replace your spark plugs while you're doing this job!

Thanks! Ive been reading these forums for a while, figured I better join and contribute some. I was entertaining the idea of doing it myself but after seeing the driver side, I dont want anything to do with it.

Having just done this recently. Be sure to have them order new rear water hoses, new egr gasket, intake gasket before they start work. Consider having them replace the few vacume hoses under there.

Can consider checking the knock sensor. It likely is dead (does not turn on engine light but does show as code on scan). And as said above that is a goodtime to change plugs.

Thanks for that info. Thats exactly the kind of stuff I was looking for. Anything else?? There is so much to pull off the drivers side I figured there would be some more. Thanks so much for the info all!!!

Throttle body gasket. Also a good time to take it off and really clean it good and everything else around that area.
If you do it yourself pick up some degreaser and clean up the whole area around, under the intake good.
