98 Pathfinder Keyless Entry
both of my keyless entry remotes for my 98 pathfinder stopped working within a few months of each other. i replaced the batteries in each, and they still do not work. is there something i have to do to activate or synch it with my car? i read the manual, and it said to press a couple of buttons and then hit the unlock button, but nothing has worked. kind of tired having to use my key to open all the doors now. thanks

can anyone help with this? i searched the forum and found sometihng to try, closing and locking the door, insert key....about 5 steps., for a 1997 qx4. does this work for a 1998 pathfinder? thanks

I found these instructions for my 97 QX4, they might work for you too.
* Make sure you have a good battery in your remote before starting this procedure.
1- Sit in the car and lock all the doors.2- Put the key in the ignition and take it out immediately (like you do with some credit card machines at the gas stations). 3- Repeat step 2 about 7-10 times until you see you signal lights flashing.4- Put the key in ignition again and turn it to the "ON" position.5- Press the unlock button on your remote.6- The doors should unlock. And your keyless remote has been programmed.
