I own a 94 gtst, my clutch was slipping so when I replaced it I did a full service(trans, oil, air filter, ect) the air filter that was on the car when I bought it was falling apart so I put a cone on it. There where chunks of the filter stuck in the screen by my mfs, so I took the intake tube off and cleaned the oil out of it and put it all back together. Before any of this I was starting to get a little loss of power around 6k now it runs fine up to 5k then starts to cut out and won't run past 5.5k. Do I have a boost leak I can't find or bigger problems???

Thank you for any help

Probably a dead MAF.

Its pretty common.

Check the MAF. Then check for leaks. Check the coils. Check the plugs.

Thanks for the help, I had to go to work I will be home tomorrow and was going to start there. I didn't know the symptoms of a bad maf, wasn't sure weather to start there or in the fuel system. I didn't get done with the clutch till 10 Sunday night. I will let you know how it all goes by the end of the week.
