No, I never used a hose. I just put some water in a spray bottle and used it. Well, use brake cleaner and simple green for the thick oil/grease build up and others for dirt and light residue. I jacked up the car, removed the stuff under the hood and spent a couple of hours after work for several days, so it's definitely not a couple of hours job.
I fully expected it to take awhile. When I do my rims if you call them rims it takes me about 2-3 hours if not up to 5 hours to get them as shiny as I like them to be for a day. When I clean, I clean thoroughly but I get scared of the internal mechanisms of cars... I just don't know enough yet *never had shop class*.

I also asked another question. In one of your pictures you have some wires on the driver side inside of the engine hooked into some sort of device. I was wondering what those wires are for and what they're hooked up to? I think it's coming from the spark plug area but I'm not entirely sure..

Are you talking about this wire? It's a part of ignition system and only s13 has it. s14 doesn't have this one and I think that's why s13 plug wires are slightly more expensive than s14's.

It's just a switch. My mirrors don't have defroster function. Switch is from JDM s14. I thought I could use defroster switch for something else, so I got it. I bought it from tunedbyjdm.com. They have some rare stuff.

Thanks, man. G-Corporation in Japan. A buddy of mine went to Japan for vacation, and I gave him side scuff plates and center bezel. He took them to G-Corp and had them modified. They've done only one LHD center bezel modification, so mine is only one in the world.

Good thing that I bought them last year. Yen is incredibly high compared to dollar right now. That second picture is my scuff plates. They put that picture in their website after finished mine.

Hey 94_240sx! I efin love your car man so sweet!Got a question for you. I seen that you did a s15 HLSD swap and you bought these bolts and you mentioned that you didnt buy them from japanparts.com. So where did you get them from? Japanparts has them and i seen but they want $9 for one bolt and there is 10 bolts in the gear so it would cost me like $100!!!! Thats way to much just for 10 stupid bolts...
94_240sx wrote:Just got them today. I didn't buy from japanparts.com though. I ordered from someone else. Anyway, I ordered total 11 just in case, but the package has 10 bolts in it. Nismo doesn't sell it separately. I'll work on helical diff soon.

I got them from Courtesy Nissan. Here's the problem. They reorganized Nissan Motorspoarts(NISMO) USA division, so shipping is super slow. It used to be okay, but it takes about 2-3 months now. I'm not even sure they take special orders these days. Last time I ordered through NISMO USA was Nov. 2007. and had to wait 3 months to get a part.

Try West Covina, Courtesy or RHDJapan. You might want to consider using stock bolts or buying sleeves. If you call Courtesy, ask for Jacob.

Sorry, I can't remember exactly how much I paid, but I do remember that I paid less than japanparts.com was asking.

I have some update. Just bought a pair of brand new s13 optional fog light set and installed them last night. I haven't hook them up yet, so can't turn on.

Comes with wiring, brackets, switch and everything.

Please don't tell me they are ugly because I paid an arm and a leg and waited forever to find a new set. I think they look good.

A switch that included in the kit should go to the spot where Top Up/Down switch is at. I'm thnking about using a heated mirror switch. My power folding mirror switch has a button for heated mirrors, but it's not being used since I don't have them. Otherwise, I'll have to find any OEM switch that goes to OD indicator is at and fabricate. I tested with power folding mirror switch and it looks like the switch can handle fog lights. I need to do some more research on this. I don't want to fry a perfectly good switch.

Well, I got them mainly for the looks and extra lightning. There are 2 different versions, yellow and clear. I can swap out the inner lenses and have clear look, but I decided to stick with yellow otherwise I have too much clear lights going on in the front.

I got them from Yahoo Japan auction. New set shows up only a couple of times a year in Yahoo Japan auction. It was about $300 plus shipping. You can try this site to buy stuff from Yahoo Japan.

http://www.bidjdm.com/index1.php

I'll remove the folding mirror switch and figutre out what needs to be done to make it work.

I'm not feeling them, Nemo. Sorry, bud.

Maybe if you stuck them in the vents instead, it wouldn't look so bad.

But as long as you like them, that's what matters. I'm still rocking the primer gray, so what do I know.

I hear you. I ran into two issue with the fog lights, so it's on hold for now. I'll update later.
