89 maxima loss of power
i have a 1989 maxima 3.0 sohc. When you first start it up it runs great for about 5 min. then it starts to lose power. If you shut it off and start it back most of the time it runs great for about 5 min. then starts to lose power again. I tried fuel pump and filter but it still does the same thing any suggestions

Could be a bad injector, a bad maf. There are 3 things that you need to have the car run: fuel, spark and air. You've checked 1 of the 3, now just check the other 2 and see if you find something out of the ordinary.

It's worth taking a look at the distributor, too. Since the problem seem to be intermittent I doubt that's the cause, but it's simple to rule out so I'd definitely have a look. Make sure the cap isn't cracked, and the rotor and points don't have any carbon buildup on them.
