I am buying a new hatch on the 15th to replace the rusted out one on my 300 TT with the factory sponge spoiler that ruins the hatch when water gets under neath it. Has any one replaced one before? If so what is involved besides dropping the headliner and unbolting it. I know I'll have to remove the panels and stuff but the unbolting part makes me wonder. Let me know if you have any experience or help. Thanks again.

so your replacing the whole hatch? IIRC you just drop the back of the headliner a bit to get to the bolts, the hatch inyterior panels all need to come off so you can unplug the harness and back it out on both sides, it's really not too hard to fische the wires through, better than the redkneck that cut and spliced the harness in the roof before I bought the car

just make sure you have extra hands, you have to pull off the hatch struts to pull the trim panels,a nd then of course lifting the hatch off requires extra hands
