280z as a first car

There is a world of information missing in this ad. Did not even post the mileage! If you contact the owner and still have an interest after he answers your questions, take the car to a mechanic competent in Z's. Pay for the inspection, it will be money well spent since this will be your first car.

The biggest concern with any Z is rust.

If this is a CA car, you may luck out. Buy the car because you like it and want to drive it - not because you think it will become a collector car - it won't.

These cars are pretty dependable and easy to work on, not the safest thing on the roud, no airbags or modern crash standards. This one appears someone put a fair amount of work and care into, most age related issues are pretty easy to diagnose and repair. Not gonna be as dependable or safe or fuel efficient as somethign newer but not a horrible car for a young driver that knows how to drive on wet roads with a rwd car.
