So before the inevitable "give it up" statement i have to say that i know i am in for a hell of allot of work and money. Then i must say that i do not care lol
The reason for this post is just to share the experience and progress of my project. It really does not matter how much work or money i have to put in i
absolutely love my car lol. Mindless till the end i suppose.
So heres some pics of her, not too many of the outside. I will post more of those later on
Image
Theres the inside. The wheel is the old wood one from a 260 or 240 i believe. The floor and dash are toast but theres some good under all that rust lol.
Image
The wheels are all off the rims and the rims are old ultra rims that need a key to get the hub cap off that neither i nor anyone else has lol.
Image
Ah yes louvers heh. i believe they are either made by the guy i bought it from or from another vehicle
Image
All the latches and locks are either ruined or missing
Image
At least both doors work lol, missing some missoulanious handles and such but in working condition
Image
Heres a better picture of the floor pans, im fairly certain that i will have to get some sheet metal and make new floor pans.

So yes i have my work cut out for me and a long road ahead of me, but it will be fun and i will love every minute of it. Any advise and tips anyone could provide for me would be most appreciative and i will post updates on the progress of my project.

From the pic's the floors don't look too bad. I've had good luck getting those locking centercaps off with a screw driver, just find a flat head that will wedge inside the key hole and add muscle. Please keep us up to date with your progress.

Well ive done a bit more work scraping the old rubber insulation off the floors and looks as if the driver and passenger side pans will have to be rebuilt but the console, hatch, and back seats look in good working order so im not too terribly concerned with it. i know a good welder so it shouldn't be but a matter of molding the new ones and cutting the old ones out. I got the center caps off the wheels as well that screw driver trick you told me plus a little pb blaster to knock off the ten plus years of rust from the field lol. As soon as my fiance is done with our lift ill be pulling the engine and trans out. Then its onto the body panels XD. Heres a few more pics i made the other day after pulling some of the old rubber up. Ill have pics of the console all cleaned up and pretty by tomorrow.

allot of the rust was worse than it looked as it was through both sides of the floor from the outside and inside.
Image
the front grill i will need to get a lip at some time

another pic of the body, in surprisingly good shape

most of the dash is apart now and the wiring is in surprisingly good shape as well. More pics to come of the tearing down process in the next few days :gapteeth:

Not much left in there after you remove the dash.
Every day a little progress will add up. Keep up the good work and the updates!
