I don’t think there is a definitive source for the weight of the (S13) 240SX KA24DE engine. Having recently purchased a scale, I decided to get a definite answer. I took a few pictures of the engine from various angles so that everyone can see what components were weighed with the motor ( As complete as it could be). The motor was drained of all oil and coolant and there are no spark plugs or spark plug wires. That’s about it.

Thats a lot of weight. My friend and i tried to lift the de out of the back of a pickup. Ya lol, i didn't work lol. so you slid it down a board. But Yes it weighs quite a bit.

it took 3 of us to lift my KA into the back of a full size dodge ram. it was tough let me tell u, my buddy threw out his back, but me him and my dad got it up there.

When I was in High School I had a senior project which consisted of me demonstrating something I wanted to do when I grew up. I love working on cars so I took in an entire small block 350 out of a camaro. Intake, head, bottom end, pistons, crank, and cams. That damn thing was heavy. I drove an 84 chevy pickup on 35 inch tires. That was a b*tch to carry into the class room.

That's why in ****ty weather like snow I be sliding everywhere with it's RWD!

I lifted my buddy's de minus fluids and alternator by myself on my shoulder and placed it on the ground.. thn again I'm 6'7 322 pounds but still the heaviest 4 banger I've ever molested.

Thats really not that bad for an iron block motor with such massive intakes and what not.

btw, you guys are pansies, except you roach. My buddy and I carried mine from my garage floor to the back of his F-250 and back with ease.
