actually there doin a coupe, looks like who was already doin some mods to it, it had an unpainted kit on it, looked like some nice wheels, and a racing seat, they were lookin at stuff on need for speed underground, and from what I saw this 240 is gonna look like ***, like a bright green color with some ghey graphics...I feel sorry for this dude if he is any kind of tuner, I wanna see that show and someone be really dissatisfied with there car, that would be funny...

I saw it too and was about to post it before my power cut out.

I saw the passenger blinker and said, "Oh no.. please no.." sure enough, S13 Coupe.

Judging by the looks of the car, the owner has the car for the same love we do (but on the ricey scale) but good god man, why would you hand over such a beautiful piece of machinery to West Coast Customs and Xzibit, MTV? WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!

We'll see what happens.. the preview showed some 240 spinning around (computer generated) and it was green w/ a spoiler (aluminum) & kouki-ish tail lights... but it was a fast back and this is a coupe

Fun show to watch but I haven't had the urge to duplicate any of their work.

I know the 240 hatch is in Need for Speed: Underground, and that the possible modifications in that game are horrible, so it would make sense that the computer generated spinning fastback was being shown in the game.

It is a rather fun show to watch, I love stripping out cars, but on every damn car they feel the absolute need to polute it with a ridiculous bodykit aswell as other stupid 'perks'. Made a DECENT looking VW bus though <3

yeah for real, that bus was awesome, 40 inch t.v., my favorite one was when they did the little 85 crx and put a WRX Hood scoop on it, the scoop was bigger than the hood...that show is funny, they do some pretty amazing shiz, but if they screw up this 240 which I know they will, I am sending them some hate mail...lol

Hey, don't forget about that focus with the BMW front grill and hood. It will look like slightly like a Bimmer, but will always ultimately be a focus.

I thought that was a ford escort, might of been a focus not sure, that one looked nice as hell though...I liked the paint, and interior, sometimes they go over the top with some stuff, like puttin an electric fireplace, a bowling ball return, anyone watch the one tonight of the acura legend, I thought that dude was gonna lift x-zibit into orbit man, that guy was toooooo excited...

that show is mostly for show, but i wouldn't mind getting a phat system on the car... love those gadgets they put on. i wish i could afford them.

i bet they will put a giant wing on the car lol, if only they are jdm tyte! or have a jdm theme, the car will rock, but so far, most cars that get pimpout turns to have alot of bling bling !!!

haha.

you guys think too much.

MTV approached us for wheels for the show, and honestly it's all about what the kid wanted.

According to MTV, it was 1) fix the car by the end of the year or else parents were going to give the car away, and 2) he wanted something that resembled a car from the video game...

Some parts are top notch, others was just a matter of slapping things on the car for sake of having it on the car. I warned MTV about fitment issues and offset but their main criteria was "18" wheels and 414 bolt pattern", so I had no choice but to accomidate them with the crappy offset.

So.... stop speculating about it so much.

If I'm not mistaken someone came on the boards a while back and was asking for someone who wanted to be on pimp my ride with their 240... (I'd have to search for it but it's somwhere) so the owner might be a nico member.

OMG, I would love to see that VW!I have a 86 Vanagon sitting in my parent's garage. I always wanted to put a TV and nice stereo in it. I think those buses are one of the most uniques cars on the road.

I wouldn't really trust the folks at wcc through Pimp my ride. I like to keep it subtle, not 8 tv's suede seats and roof liner with giovanna blingers. That luv truck and the 2dr caddy were nice thogh.

So, since it's a nico member, stop flaming the poor kid who's getting $20K of stuff put into his car .

And thanks for those wheels alex, they're dope .

Still waiting to get my car back from WCC.

I take no responsibility for that. And it's already happened in parts of SoCal.

On the bright side: a lot more manufacturers are gonna start making performance parts for 240's since they're becoming more mainstream .

I hear that damn argument all the time, and I challenge the person to come up with something that we don't have that we need. Care to take a stab at it? And if you mean s*** like whack widebody kits and "Z3 style euro fenders with turbo vents" like Honda and s*** have, we don't want it.

We have entire sites dedicated to our suspension and driveline accessories, and have had such for a long time. All you need beyond that are engine mods, turbo kits are abundant, radiators are easily had if you want to drop $400 on some bling, turbos and IC's are all universal...WTF don't we have?

My mistake.

Rather than MTV, X, and WCC chosing to make your car look like ***, YOU DO. That is, of course, if the outcome of your car resembles the 'preview shot' we saw.

I understand the whole "dont like it, strip it sell it" deal but who's going to pay for a chassy with 40 pounds of metal-flake paint and blang-blang vinyl?

I'm pretty sure I seem rather ignorant right now but it just hurts inside to see someone cause pain to such a beautiful car. I'm sure I wouldn't mind them pimping my car either, probably because it's an automatic stocker.

Well, I guess "we" as a universal 240sx group may have a lot of parts, but my "we" is much smaller and I have yet to find satisfactory parts for some things.

Well, some things I'm looking for (off the top of my head):

- Adjustable front lower control arm (I don't "need" this, but it will help w/ my adjustability that for some reason my car like to do). Toyotas and Hondas have this, I would like it too.

- a 2.5" downpipe made for the KA-SOHC turbo setup, a SOHC KA Turbo kit - sure there's DOHC kits, but what about other 240's (89-90) like mine? You don't see some weird Civic year that has no turbo kit.

- Affordable coilovers only recently came out a year ago for our cars (the k-sports and d2), or at least were only recently available - before that you had to drop down minimum $1k for a used set.

- A collection of rwd lower offset rims - we have some, but a very small selection, and getting a 4-lug version is even harder - also only recently have I seen them starting to "beta-test" some rims for us (like the group buy coming out soon).

Sure, if you look hard enough, you can find any of these things, and if you put enough money in, it doesn't matter what kind of car you have.

If you still think that's complete bs, then I'm sorry. Congratulations on being able to find everything easily and affordably.

And yes, a wider selection of wide body kits would be nice .

They've finished taping.

My car still has... "electrical problems" with the billion lbs of electronics and other anti-hp goodness.

Well you've by far done the best, the adjustable LCA's and cheap coilovers I'll give you, but as a general rule I prefer quality springs and struts to generic coilovers. As for the LCA's, SPL has 'em but for less than a year probly. I've always preferred custome exhausts so I can get exactly what I want and not have to pay the outrageous prices for a JDM name.I'm not into the mexi/tyte drifter look so I don't mind if my rims don't stick out so I haven't looked. =\
