I am enjoying my 2014 Rogue SV (with Premium Package). I have had it for a month with no major issues. My previous car was a 2004 Murano, which I also enjoyed, but for the money I felt that this Rogue was a better fit right now.

The only issue that I am having is when the Vehicle Information Display shifts down slightly.

Here is a picture of it:

The display is still readable but looks goofy and bothers me in a new car. It is something that I haven't seen discussed elsewhere on the internet. It has occurred three times in a month with no initiating action on my part that I am aware of, and I haven't identified any correlation in the occurances.

Has anyone else experienced this? I can't imagine that I am the only person having this problem.

Thanks,

Gary

So, what it looks like is that the bottom line/row of info is partially obscured by the console bezel / rim itself?

Is that always the case, or does the info on the screen at one point just move down? Is it the case on all the info screens or just this one.

Will pay attention to it this weekend when driving the car on a longer trip.

Yes, the whole display shifts down about 1/4 inch. In the picture, the line at the very top should be at the very bottom. The clock should be the top row.

This happens only occasionally, but when it does, it affects all of the different info screens of the display. It seems to reset if the car is off for a long time. It won't reset if you just turn the car off for a minute.

There's a software update for the "meter" software on there to fix maintenance reminders not saving the miles you drove, you could take it to your dealer and see if having them apply that update fixes it.

I have seen this problem too on my 2014 SL +prem, now twice -- but it has been several weeks since it last happened

When it happened, it looked like the alignment was in different places each time. The first time being around the bottom of the temp line. The second time being a handful of pixels lower. Restarting the car didnt resolve. Had to turn the car off -- let is sit for several minutes -- and then restart. Layout initially restarted in the same error place. But after a sec or two (before the rogue stops spinning in the opening startup) -- the alignment reset where it needed to be.

Off the top of my head, I dont know what software I am running -- but it was delivered in June, and does not have the meter or radio issues others have reported. So i *think* im current. Local svc dept had also not seen the issue before when i called

Havent seen it in a while, though.

All. thanks for the quick replies to my issue.

Christopherj, it is good to know that I am not the only one having this issue and that yours is apparently not getting progressively worse. It is not a big issue for me now, but I just want to make sure that it is not a sign of more serious issues to come with the display system. I will also mention it to my service department the next time I am there.

I just got a 2014 Rogue SV with the premium package on 8/18 and it did this the very next day. I find that if it sits out in the sun/heat for a couple hours, that's when it starts to happen. The longer it sits in the heat, the worse it gets.

I am dropping it off at the dealership tomorrow morning to hopefully get it fixed. Kind of annoying on a brand new car!

bsher - Thanks for the information. I can't imagine that this is an easy fix of some sort. Please update us on your experience with the dealership.

Judging from some of the comments I'm reading on this issue, it seems to be happening in hot areas. I wonder if it's happening when the temp hits triple digits (100F+) and displaying that number somehow causes the glitch.

Wow, that's an interesting hypothesis. I'll watch for that, now that it is hitting 100F regularly here in Houston. I guess I can convert to Celsius numbers if necessary. Perhaps it would at least feel cooler that way!

I am having the same problem, I am taking in the Rogue tomorrow to the dealer to see if they can fix it. Only happens on hotter days as the car sits out in the heat. Anyone find the problem yet?
