Looks pretty cool. I'm not blown away, but I think people will like it a lot in time.
@GQM: Definitely. It looks way more aggressive than previous Gs. Maybe they're on to something..

i LOVE it. she looks nice. keep in mind people b4 you start throwing Lexus into the question, WE had the grille first. the interior is nice aswell. i just wish they had found a spot for the analog clock :chuckle: it may have been kinda old but it was like a signature infiniti feature... but i think the car is hot. i heard some stuff about an IPL too.

The interior looks like a major upgrade over the previous G. Agreed on the clock, but they're moving in the right direction, IMO.

Nice look infiniti!! Looks like it has more interior room than the G. Can't wait to test drive one. I love the M 37 or the renamed Q70 for the size and power. If you wouldn't lose so much in depreciation I would consider getting a new one, so I guess I might wait a year or two to upgrade my '08 M35S. I still prefer the M badge over the Q. :bigthumb:

It might look better in person, so I will try not to be too disappointed until I see one. However, my first impression is that the grille is too big, and the interior looks like a Hyundai.

At a first glance, I thought that I was looking at a Lexus...

I think the Q70 will be really telling. When you look at the G and M right now, there is no comparison as far as the interiors are concerned. I like the G, but even the IPL is laden with cheap-looking materials. I'm really optimistic, because if this is the new "G", the "M" should be that much better. That make sense?

I can dig this... but would i get rid of my M for this NO!
So with the name changes and this lower tier model does this mean the prices of all models go up?.. So all the new interiors will have this plastic look and focus more on tech? :squint:

Maybe it'll grow on me. The back isn't bad, the front is ugly (didn't like it when Lexus did it, don't like it when Infiniti just did it). And the interior? I don't bother following G developments as I'll never own the car (too small for me - I like bigger cars), but the M will be telling if I will be buying another Infiniti in the future or not.

Car looks good. They should had kept the analog clock. It was a trade mark. But I like it...

I have found it very interesting to read some of the comments on the recent Infiniti news. The name change really ruffled some feathers and the subsequent explanation seemed to work for most people. Now they are going to start the Q line from the G sedan up. I look forward to seeing what new tech this is going to have. There were several things I saw that I really liked. The integration of internet based services, the use of the sport brakes on the hybrid and use of the line on the interior that goes over the center console from the Essence. Relocation of the Infiniti controller to a more common sense location like the center console and use of larger touch surfaces will drastically change the interior feel over the previous model.

Personally I am looking forward to see what the new G50 coupe will look like.

What are you talking about, you just looked at it. The Q50 is the new G. The Q70 is the new M.

Whatever it is:

A. It's pretty cool :mike
B. Brits are ignorant in their disdain for Nissan/Infiniti.

Yep and since 03 they have used the same model name for the coupe and sedan of the entry models. I have not heard that they would be designating a Q60 as a coupe and would expect it to stay a Q50 coupe, but who knows they are using Audis former top guy (http://www.autoblog.com/2012/06/04/de-n ... w-hong-ko/) now so the G coupe could easily become the new Q60. I doubt it though as the A5 is different from its' sedan incarnation more so than the G,and there was never an A4 coupe.

^^^What he said :)
I would get that interior so unbelievably dirty. :tisk:

Technically I guess it would be a combination Juke/Leak with a weirder name than all other possibilities. It is going to be a hybrid in about their price point. Although I find the interior very un-Infiniti with its over-simplicity.

OK, I've seen the vids and gave it a good looking over ...

Not-so-great:

1) The front design is a mash of a volvo, a lexus + M, and erm who knows?
2) It desperately needs a body kit or at least something similar down the lower sides
3) The interior is just 'meh' - actually the center console is a mash of the CTS and the RX350 - no style
4) Why did they name it 'Q50"? that number used to designate engine size - "Q370" would have been better

Now for the great stuff:

1) The headlamp design is brilliant ! Reminds one of a tiger's eyes with the iluminated brows upper and lower.
2) It appears to have parking sensors and what might very well be cams aside from the rear view
3) The side body style is finally getting back to sport and power instead of powder puff
4) The tail lamps have a much better style and appear to have LED linear backgrounds similar to the BMW 750

Overall, I couldn't consider this car because I'm a 6'3" rugby player so the cabin has too little shoulder, height, and leg room. I think it's a great looking car (minus the front end), and shorter people will be very happy with it, LOL.
