Hello Everyone,

I'm new here and am about to buy a new 2013 G37 with Premium Package and Navigation for $35.5K, out the door. I'm a Southern CA resident. Is that a good price? Have you had better? What was your OTD price and when did you purchase it?

Prior to deciding on the G37, I was set on buying the 2013 Lexus IS250. However, I test drove the G37, and almost instantly changed my mind...

That, and for less money than the IS250, I'd get more power and more amenities.

Thanks for you help. Greatly appreciate it and I hope to learn more from you all here! :dblthumb:

Check out Edmunds.com. I use that as a starting point when looking at cars. Also, check out Autotrader...it's easy to have multiple dealers fighting for your $$.

Thanks Joe. I've checked Edmunds, TrueCar.com, and a number of other sites and it seems like my $35,500 out the door is a great price.

As of today/tomorrow, I will officially be a legitimate member here. Haha

Hi,

New 2013 G37 with Premium Package and Navigation for $35.5K, out the door........It's the best price for a G37. I have plans buying the same car with same options and I live in central California. I would really appreciate if you can let me know the details of the dealer you got the car from.

Thanks,

Hey p.kaushikbt, I bought mine from Metro Infiniti in Monrovia. I haggled it down to that price and a dealer in San Diego was willing to match it (not beat it) while also transporting it to me in Los Angeles.

My basis for bargaining was that I knew the G37 would soon be phased out and that it would become "obsolete" since the Q50 was soon to be released.

After going back and forth, they agreed to sell it to me for $35.5K, OTD but I was required to finance at least $7.5k. So, I'm a happy owner of a 2013 G37 Sedan (fully loaded) :)

So the OTD price was not $35.5k if you had to finance $7.5k?

That would have been a good price if you paid cash.

There is an additional cost (dealer profit) spread out over the duration of the financing that you must add on to the $35.5k

"Had to," but I could pay it off entirely at the time of the next monthly payment with no early payment penalties. I'm opting to pay finance for 18 months to build my credit some more, and then will pay it all off.

So essentially, it was still $35.5K out the door, no?

Is 35.5k the total price including tax, tag, title, fees?

If the $35.5 includes tax/tags/fees than it's OTD price. :yesnod Dealerships do not like cash purchases. Because they earn money for every month a car is financed and get a cut of the interests too.

How does that work with Infiniti? I know they didn't make any money off me as I had my own financing which was lower than what they could provide.

A base 2013 G37 RWD with no options has a list price of $33,855 per infinitiusa.com. If that car was sitting new on a lot you could possibly offer 31k or less for it. I'm not sure about the financing part but I'm sure if you have a job and decent credit then someone would work with you.

Getting a slightly used car would give you more options at that same price but financing a used car for 100% might be difficult.

That's a good deal.
