2012 M37S mod thoughts

Postby MILZSOULJAH » Mon Jul 09, 2012 7:09 pm

I recently purchase my first Infiniti.. 2012 M37S Storm Front Gray. I started off small and stuck on some limo tint. My next project is dropping it with the Eibach pro kit 1.2 front and .8 back. I was wondering if anyone could give me insight from experience on ride quality before and after? Im also concerned if the suspension has any link to the main computer, and if changing springs will interfere. Any thoughts will be appeciated, thanks

Ride quality is just SLIGHTLY harsher than stock, zero complaints. The springs do not interface or have any effects on the BCM (or any other computer aside from maybe a slight adjustment from the HID headlight auto level control). You'll like the stance, it was one of the first mods I did:

I'm running the Eibach Pro that you talked about.
To post pictures you must use an off site caching service (I use Photobucket).

If you can't see the posted pictures on your computer, use a different browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, etc). IE has some weird security features that gives some people problems (I'm a Mac guy).

welcome to NICO....good looking car :dblthumb:

when you're posting pix, be sure to get the IMG code (from Photobucket) so your pix will appear on the posts -- instead of a "link"... just a thought....

Did you install the springs yet? Just got a 2012 myself and I'm thinking about getting the Eibachs as well.

After installing springs, wait about a week, then get an alignment. None of my cars have had issue unless if I went wth an aggressiv drop that called for a camber kit.

I was wondering about the headlights. I had to recalibrate the height of my headlights when I lowered my lexus. The actual sensor had to be moved slightly in order to stop blinding people.
Is this also the case with our Ms? I was thinkin about dong a mild drop with the Tein H.tech springs.

Wow she looks great! Tint has always been my first mod on my cars. Can't wait to see the eibachs on your '12 M37. I'm really not sure about the 2012 models, but there are several 06-10 owners that are aggressively dropped without having to worry about leveling the headlights (at least I haven't).

@ wideopen: I was told the eibachs got recalled for the Ms. Something wasn't fitting right with the rear. I'm currently waiting to get a set of Megan coilovers. Im getting them for $400 as part of a deal so they can take stats on diff lowering heights. I didn't wanna get coilovers but for that price I'm gonna take a chance. If I hate it I'll jus switch back. I'll let u know and post a pic when I get it.

@atl & donnie: Idk either about recalibration of the headlights. But I'll def give u the heads up after I install the coilovers.

Thanks for the reply. I checked out Megan racing but didn't see anything for M37. How are you getting coilovers from them? I might go that direction myself depending on the price. In either case its nice to see additional parts for the M.
Too bad about the Eibachs. Do you know if they are planning to re-release?

EDIT: Just got an email back from Megan Racing, they said they didn't have anything for an M37. How are you getting coilovers from them?
