The iphone works fine and is supported for the base S radio but not the SV "upgrade" head unit. It reads the songs but glitches when playing and freezes when you recieve a call. Are there any workarounds to this issue or any firmware or software applications to allow compatability?

Thanks

I don't know of any workarounds or software upgrades, etc.

Perhaps check with the dealer, but I'm not very hopeful... Part of the issue is Nissan does not make their own head units. They are sourced through other mfg's like BOSE, Rockford Fosgate, etc. Nissan may not have access to or even the capability to change the programming in the radio and/or bluetooth.

Also check Nissan USA's website under the owners section:

http://www.nissanusa.com/bluetooth.html

And here:
If further assistance is needed, feel free to call Nissan Consumer Affairs at 1-800-647-7261, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Eastern/Central/Pacific Time, Monday through Friday, or e-mail us.

Please note that Bluetooth® support is limited to Nissan-recommended phones.
All versions of the iPhone including v4 appear to be supported.

The bluetooth works fine. It's the ipod features of the iphone when trying to listen to music and control it through the usb port. Base model supports but not sv model unit.

I wonder if it is going to work with the SL package, I live in Taiwan, and that is the package I am getting. Rogue 2011 SL.
Can anyone let me know?
I find it hard to believe that nissan hasn't thought about the iPhone 4 connectivity with its new 2011 rogue model.

From what the manual says the only radio shown to support the Iphone is the base S model. The SV and SL radios both say the unit will not work properly with the Iphone. The base radio uses a special connector and the upgrade units use an usb port.

Is it? Quite a few manufacturers don't seem to.
