2011 QX56 Front License Plate Mounting?

I live in a state that requires a front license plate, so as much as I hate the thought of it, I need to get one up there. What is out there for mounting a front plate on a 2011 QX56?

There should have been one included with the vehicle, I would only use the OEM Infiniti bracket. Get one from your dealer.

Not only did I not get one, when I asked the dealer, they wanted me to come in and they would "drill out" a place in the bumper for me. That's NOT going to happen.

It fastens on the front bumper, there may be some drilling required, or they may be self tapping screws. The dealer should be able to take care of that for you. It is a permanent install though.

A lot of states don't allow that.

OP: One way or another, you're probably going to have to get some holes drilled somewhere.

As PapaSmurf indicated, it is illegal in CA to just place it in your windshield or attach your plates to the visor. The 2011 QX56s DO have a bracket - mine was in the spare tire compartment, but they DO require drilling into the front bumper to mount it.

I'm holding out, hoping someone makes an aftermarket version that reached through the grill and attaches to something (frame, bracing) inside.
