I'm looking for a mini van for my family.
I'm a Nissan fan, of course, I will look for a Quest first. while I did the research on cars.com. they said the 2011 Quest just using the regular gas.
Is it possible? the 3.5L engine always use premium gas, right?

anyone driving the new Quest can tell me something about it?

Thanks

I have a 2011 and I run regular gas and have never had any issues. Dealer didn't tell me to use anything specific, so regular it is!

how is the gas mileage on the regular gas?
I'm still thinking to get the quest or a 7 seater SUV.
Thanks

It's decent. I usually can get around 310-320 miles on a tank which equates out to I think 20mpg's on average??? I haven't looked at the on-board computer in a while to see what it is showing.

I tell you what though...the peppy-ness on this engine is awesome. I like the CVT tranny too.

well, it depends on the application

but, for this model, it is verified by page 9-3 on your owner's manual
FUEL RECOMMENDATION

Use unleaded regular gasoline with an octane
rating of at least 87 AKI (Anti-Knock Index)
number (Research octane number 91).

(page 193 of that pdf file)

as for the VQ engine,

weird that with various car models for the same engine, the HP is changed slightly... is it because of the following?
...but adds variable valve timing.
aka Honda's VTEC ? :gotme
