2011 Quest Brake Light replacement

I need to change a brake light on my quest, but I can not get the brake light assembly off of the car. I removed the two bolts that are exposed when the tailgate is open, but the assembly seems to be stuck. I dont want to pry it and break it. any suggestions?

After you have removed the 2 screws for the tail lamp, take a flat head screw driver and put a rag over the blade, and gently pry on the lamp assembly. Plastic pop clips are what is holding the lamp on at this point.

sucks, but that's what you'll have to do to access the bulbs... they've been doing this type of securing the rear light assemblies since 1999 & i hate this as well.
