Hello Infiniti Forum! I registered to post this topic to see if I can find a solution for a problem we are having with our 2011 G37. In October 2014 it was involved in a major accident but has been completely restored. When the body shop replaced the engine fan motor and fan we were told that the fan motor for the 2011 had been discontinued to an upgraded model which was installed.

From day one it has constantly revved up and down and makes a very noticable noise. The mechanic at the body shop has asked Nissan / Infiniti about possible solutions and they have not been very helpful. At one point they indicated that there were three settings we could try.

So...Have any of you had this same experience or know how to possibly adjust it? We may have received a faulty fan. Makes me want to go to a junk yard and get one of the old 2011 fans.

Thanks for any help you can give us.

Have you checked the FSM>

http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/G37/Sedan/2011/CO.pdf

Are you using the correct radiator cap and have you performed a pressure test?

Are you using the correct Cooling fan control module and has it been replaced after the accident?

"Cooling fans are controlled by cooling fan control module. For details, refer to
EC-94, "
System Diagram"

"SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
ECM controls cooling fan speed corresponding to vehi
cle speed, engine coolant temperature, air conditioner
ON signal, refrigerant pressure, target A/C evapor
ator temperature and A/C evaporator temperature.
Cooling fan control signal is sent to IPDM E/R from
ECM by CAN communication line. Then, IPDM E/R sends
ON/OFF pulse duty signal to cooling fan control
module. Corresponding to this ON/OFF pulse duty signal,
cooling fan control module gives cooling fan motor
operating voltage to cooling fan motors. Cooling fan speed
is controlled by duty cycle of
cooling fan motor operating voltage sent from cooling fan control module"

Why not have an Infiniti dealer inspect your vehicle?

Good luck
