Yes, it's that time of year again and I figured I would keep the fun going by hearing everyone's 2010 New Year's Resolutions for their RB Car/Project/For last year's resolutions (for reference)...

2009http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=392862

2008http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=303706

How it works, let everyone know what you plan on doing over the course of 12 months:

What Mods do you plan on buying / installing?

What type of Build do you plan?

What time do you want to run? track related?

Track times, events, magazine spots, RBBA, 12 months on jack stands?

And any other car related goals for this year.

As well, did you meet/keep your goals from last year?

Then we can all look back a year from now and see what we've accomplished.

Like I kind of mentioned in the other thread. I should really read nissanroadracing dot com more often to get ideas for the chassis and also driving techniques, events, etc.

As for the RB itself... Smaller turbo, and spend some time with the car on the dyno to get the partial throttle/transient areas of the map tuned in. WOT tuning on the street is fairly easy but partial throttle tuning is really hard to do on the streets so if I could find a brake dyno it would help. Once I get it retuned a bit it would make the car so much more fun and usable in the partial throttle/transient areas.

Selling it. Probably be different with a garage/friends to help/money, but I'm tired of dealing with it.

EDIT: Sorry for being a party pooper But congrats on you guys who are perusing bigger and better things with your RB cars!

Start turning wrenches soon. Get my baby ready for Putnam and Blackhawk Farms. Maybe Road-America (less likely)

Mods:

Anything to make it more reliable at 400-500whp. IE ls2 coils, oil system mods, etc etc

I will have nistune and 450cc injectors in the next couple weeks but I'll need bigger injectors soon.

I just bought a holset hx30 today, and it just one small step to ohios sickest rb20.

Im working getting forged pistons and rods and a much stronger rotating assembly. Grr that includes a clutch too.

The build will likely go in stages, hx30/450inj/tune, then hx35 or hx40/injectors+fabfabfabrication, track time every where in there.

I REALLY WANT TO GO TO MIDOHIO!!!! Its been a goal the last couple years but damnit Im going this spring!

That means I need track pads and tires but no biggie. I'm thinking kumho xs's but im looking at everything that 16in and trackable.

The chassis is getting new coilovers, some adjustable suspension parts, and some general cleaning up. Maybe If Im lucky I'll put a 6 point cage in my shell and put the rb in that.

Im also going for a compound setup, but goal 1 is to spool faster then stock. The hx30 should be able to do this. buhahaha.

Well, back in august I got into a car accident. A lady cut the guy infront of me off. My brakes locked up and his hitch wenth through my hood. Im in the army and im stationed in Korea so the money i make here will be going to this. So my new years resolution will be to get a s14 and drop the RB25 in it.....

After I get.....- new intake manifold to locate the ic piping to passangerside- new fmic- walbro fuel pump- clutch- oem gasket rebuild kit- powder coat misc parts in engine bayand other misc goodies......

With my old set up i was running 255whp. Id like to be able to get about 350whp before the years end. So im deffinitly on a mission to upgrade. Right now im kinda pricing things out..........

I know you work at the tireshop near walmart Just the other day 3 rb cars drive by, kyle and shawns are excess of 1200 hp combined RWHP lol, some guy at the shop was looking at us when we went by, I seen your car out back. We had 6 rb cars at my place this past weekend trying to get my pile in shape!! If you want to go to midohio get ready for spring time, just pay ahead and go with any car club that host Ie Cr/subi/evo/ips/ ect, I went 4 times last sping and summer alone, only thing is better have a few hundred in spare tires and crap.

My goal is just to make it a flawless well roudned car, not a hacked up POS like most the 240's around the ohio area.

New engine mods: New oil pump and increased capacity oil pan. New Interior mods: Possible some seats and ICE.

Hmmm, 2010 will be all about cosmetics for my hatch since the engine is running like a top now! I've decided not to do a serious engine build on this project but rather keep it stock, reliable, and fun, and save my money for a proper sports car sometime next year (M3, GTR, etc.)

Finish silvia front end swapBuy Apexi filter to replace the "temporary" APC one I've had on the car x 3yrs.Recharge A/C system (had a small mishap last year and one of the high pressure lines burst)Install my kouki tails and side skirtsFit my new wheels and tiresBuy streetable coilovers and adjustable armsPAINT! PAINT! PAINT!Fix my leaking downpipe

Hoping to have it all squared away by 7/2010 so we will see...

Yeah in no way did I mean to offend anyone by that but its so true, the scene here is horrible and a big reason why 240sx around have such a bad wrap. Most the work I ever see is hacked up rush jobs. But good luck to everyone on their new goals!! we need to get a rb meet asap for summer!

Would just like to get the car running in the next 12 months.

I'm pretty much sitting on all the parts I needed. I'll be waiting on a new fuel setup and turbo.

Build is a RB24

I'd be happy in the 10's next year.

If I can make it to a test-n-tune or midnight madness there will be no complaints.

Just taking care to the daily.

Had to call my builder in the beginning of November to let him know I'd lost my job and that after the money he had was gone that would be it for a while.

Get the essentials done on the 26, find some MAF's or go broke on a single conversion, and while all that is going on, hopefully I can find the perfect S14 shell for this motor this year as well.
