sEXy,
You have your PM feature turned off, so I can't reply to your message, but here is my reply in case you see this post:
My 08 EX Bluetooth will only work with Phonecalls and Siri. I think that only later versions of Bluetooth supported phonebook transfer and text. That being said, even if it had these features, I think it would be best to use Siri directly rather than the car's voice recognition. You could add a few phone numbers manually to the car's phone book, if you wanted.
Here's what I do: Push the home button on iPhone, Siri turns breaks into the music and beeps, "Call home." or "play party playlist" or "read text message" or "will it rain today?" or "Launch pandora".
All the music I play with it physically connected because our model didn't have the Bluetooth music yet. I did test drive a 2013 EX37 for a week that had the newer bluetooth. It was a bit messy trying to use it because you have the same device connected twice. In the end it was better just to have it plugged in because then you also get a charge.
Hope that clears things up and makes you happy. It's a very convenient system that works like a charm to me.
