2010 Black EX with pinstripes?

2010 Black EX with pinstripes?

Postby rpapillo » Wed Mar 30, 2011 6:55 pm

Hey Guys,

Just bought a 2010 EX in black. It has pinstripes down both sides with a small Infiniti symbol by the door. I haven't seen this on any other vehicle. Anyone ever seen this or was this an after market job?

Thanks!

I assume it's aftermarket; I've never seen one with pinstripes. Do you have a photo, I can't imagine where they would be placed?

Trying to post some pictures but I'm unsure how to.

It actually looks really cool. I've just always assumed it was part of the original car, which now I beginning to suspect is not the case.

My dealer puts that same design on quite a few cars.

Don't care for the look myself.

To post Pictures here on NICO, become a member of http://www.Photobucket.com

Photobucket is a Picture-hosting Site that is free to use.

You then get an e-Mail address to send all your .JPeG Attachments to.

Attach all your .JPeG's to the e-Mail and fire it off to the Photobucket address you've been given.

After a few moments go by, you'll start getting notifications from Photobucket saying that your .JPeG has been successfully uploaded.

Then go into your Album... and you'll see all your Pictures with a URL Link

You then Copy and Paste that Link into your Post.

The beauty of Photobucket is that when you hover your cursor over the Link, it automatically attaches the and copies the URL Link to then be pasted in your reply.

Just make sure the URL Link is framed with a !

Gosh! Hope you can buy it from me :)

I'm selling it for 26K and only 7K miles on 2010 EX AWD with same features, but I don't have pinstripes though. So far still no taker.

You should try charge more for no pinstripe
If a dealer try to sell me a car with the pinstripe I would say deduct $500 cause I need to pay someone to professionaly get rid of it

$26k? You must be taking a bath selling it at that price. If the car is in like new condition I'm sure you'll sell it at that price really soon. What color is it? Surprisingly, that does impact the resell value. A lot of people don't like the wheat interior (I'm not a big fan, too bright wouldn't stop me from buying at that $26k tho). The lowest I could have gotten my car for would have been $30k, that's about what the dealer took it in for on trade for. (I've spoken to the original owner, we're actually going golfing in a couple of weeks).

There just aren't a lot of 2010's out there. Once 2010s start coming of leases, I'm sure there will be tons (like 2008s now).

I actually like it on my black EX. It really helps show the curves of the car which get a little lost in the glassy finish. It makes it a little different.

My ladies like the pinstripes. They say it gives them a classier look when I drive around to show them off.

I don't think I would get pinstripes for my blue slate EX but that actually looks really good on your white EX.

Looks nice! Where did you get the body side molding?

I am thinking about getting one for mine and this is the first real life picture of one. Mine is white too.

I got the body side mouldings at www.brighttrim.com. I have put them on other cars also. They come with instructions and painted to match your car color.

Hey,
Sorry to quote you on an unrelated topic. I saw pics of your black EX35 and loved it. Wanted to see what you had done on it cause I'd like to change my wheels and tires and give mine a sportier look. Couldn't send you a PM through this form so let me know how I can reach you. Thanks in advance.

Wheels are Work Schwert SC2M 20 x 8.5 +36 offset
And smoked taillights and signal lights.

Hi there

I went to the website for the side molding but there are no option for our Infiniti. Which one did you get?

Thanks

sorry - I like the clean door look much better. No side molding and no pinstripes...

(just park smartly to avoid the dings.) I have gotten no door dings on my last 3 cars other than one I did myself with my camera on my IS back in 2003.... park far away, end spots, parallel, etc....

Go to the web site and scroll down to the Infiniti and there's a picture of an '08 EX with the side moldings on. It will be the same moldings for a 2010 since the body style has not changed.
Thanks

Mine had a pin stripe that was added by the dealer. Took that thing off the same night I got it!

Amen to u there dreamingat30fps - From a lady's point of view; I think pinstripes only really look good when they are flowing in straight lines.

When they follow curves, accent lines, or character lines it seems like the designer is trying too hard.
Plus curving pinstripes look too much like trying to re-create or mimic "fire graphics" of American hot-rod iron (which I like by the way too when tastefully done).

Just my opinion of course... :gotme everyone has their own style and likes which is what keeps us from all driving the same cookie cutter car... :bigthumb:
