I will probably take it to the dealer for a quote on that repair. Do you guys think 7k is a fair price
Welcome to NICO
The one reoccurring problem that I had with my recently traded in 06 G35 Sedan was the
air bag warning light.
When that
light remains on you have no
air bag protection, My G was at the dealer for tis problem five times over a period of a few years.
Air bag modules were replaced but finally after the warranty expired the problem was traced to the
wiring harness that had to be replaced at 137k miles. The dealer wanted $2200.00 but I was able to negotiate that down since I had purchased the extended warranty from the dealer.
My advice is to be very careful when buying a used vehicle and have a few thousand on the side just in case of unforseen problems. Even if you do end up sinking thousands, if you ever have the misfortune to be involved in a serious accident the insurance company will not care how much money you just spent on a vehicle. They will total the car and just give you book value.
Good luck
