automatic or manual?

for starters, best HP per dollar mod is the plenum spacer. Motordyne 5/16 or 1/2" are the best and proven. HFC will net you solid gains from 3000 rpms up, but you'll lose a little in the low end.

if you are automatic, I highly recommend the Transgo Valve Body upgrade - shift kit. Makes the shifts much more firm and crisp.

Lots of other options. What ya willing to spend?? :D

Welcome to NICO!

Search the forums and check out the G-series FAQ (link in my sig). Tons of ideas out there.

If you want to do NA stuff, here's what I recommend:

1. CAI/Short ram intake. I recently purchased an R2C setup for my G37 and love the build quality!
2. A plenum spacer, 5/16 for most apps will do fine.
3. CAT-Back exhaust
4. HFC/test pipes for extra gains.
5. ECU programer for minor tuning

Now if you have $$, go FI. A nice twin turbo or supercharger works great with the VQ35 engine.

Acceleration is a cube root of rear wheel torque, so 10 lb/ft is about minimum to record a improvement.
It can cost thousands to improve 1/4 mile by even 0.3 seconds above what a perfect tune oem with correct tires can accomplish.

If you want the R2C Intake let me know. Offering these at a great deal.

The 5/16 Plenum spacer is also one of the best bang for your buck on the VQ.
