Post

Hey everyone! I will be purchasing a 03 g35 sedan, automatic. Im snagging it for $2000, and have no idea about anything to do with these cars.

I found a used engine for $1600, although I have a few concerns. It came out of a 03 coupe, manual. Will this be a straight remove and replace? or will there be fabrications required? I found a mechanic who will swap it for $800. Basically my question is... will a engine out of a 03 coupe/manual fit a 03 sedan/auto?

BTW:
This g35 has navi, bose, everything. 160k on it... motor has a knock and it stalls out. Needs replacing but im only paying $2000

Should be no problem. Obviously the flywheel will need removal and the AT flexplate installed.

I agree, motor should be a straight forward swap.
