if you look at the new valve body you'll see what bolts need to be loosen.. make sure you let it drain completely.. when coming down with it.. its going to hang from the black plug.. just un-clip the green plug and then remove valve body..

after that go to the black plug on the transmission and remove the retainer ring and with pliers wiggle it and push down..

done with removal, on the new valve body there some brackets missing your going to have too take it off the old one..

now its time to put it back in.. it will take 8qts if you let it drain completely :slap:..

This repair cost was $2,000.. in the dealer is $2,300.. prices very by locations..
if you do it yourself it will save you around 600 to 800 of dollars.. just make sure everything you do is at your own risk..

if there any way i can help NICO members please feel free to send me a PM or e-mail.. :dblthumb:

]Hey I'm having this same issue with my 05fx. I purchased the valve body from the dealer. I have the old one out. Can you describe to me how to get that black plug out of the transmission. To put the new one in is there a clip? Please help
