negotiate the 03' down to $8/8.5k and get a new gasket for whatever is leaking. unless the infinity guys tell you that the 02' is better.

is it just droplets or a puddle of oil?

kbb private party value with 124k miles and a "fair" rating due to the oil leak is appx 7500.

My VQ has 134k on it with no leaks so I have no idea what their problems are.

You should be able to find information on it via the FSM

http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/i35/

Have the VIN checked out via you local Infiniti dealership to make sure any recalls and such have been performed

gasket is a diy, might just be a loose/stripped oil drain plug.

It might be transmission oil leaking on top the motor oil pan

Can you tell where the leak is coming from or what type of oilis leaking?
