I am trying to figure out what this means; VIAS S/V circ . The scanner pulled out P1800 and the only explanation that I could find was this. Does anyone have any idea what P1800 is and is this the proper explanation of the code? If so, what does this explanation mean? I am a Audi and Volkswagen expert. If you answer this question about an I35 then I will owe you one for any Audi or Volkswagen anytime you want. I am Max's German Car at: 15020 Oxnard st Sherman Oaks, CA 91411. VIAS stands for Variable Induction Air Control System. What it does is lengthens or shortens the intake runners depending on throttle position and load, thus allowing more air into the engine to keep up with demand. The PO1800 is for the solenoid valve that controls the VIAS itself. You either have a bad one or there is a wiring issue that is preventing it from working properly.
