Hey Guys,

I'm new to the forum so this may have been covered before. I've looked around and haven't been able to find any information as it relates to rear wheel drive non 4x4 vehicles.

Basically a while back my Pathfinder started making a clicking or popping noise when turning. Over the past few months it's gotten much worse.
It definitely seems to be coming from the front of the vehicle and it's my understanding that a rear wheel drive does not have front axles or cv joints up front.

Does anyone else know what this noise could be. Like I said it's gotten much worse and I'd like to get this repaired before I do anymore damage.

Any help would be appreciated.

40 views and no suggestions.....

I should have asked about 22" rim clearance or about replacing a cigarette lighter with an led.

Come on, someone must have had a similar experience???

Check your sway bar end link bushings.

Thanks! I'm going to replace the struts and check the sway bar links this weekend. I'll let you know what I find out. Appreciate the response.

Have someone turn the steering wheel while you're looking at the suspension. I had a clicking/popping sound and had a friend do this and I could see the spring popping. I replaced the strut mount bearings and the sound went away.

Usually when you hear a clicking sound only when you turn it usual is the CV joints. I am not a mechanic but I have had plenty of CV joints go bad. It starts out as a low clicking noise then gets worse over time. Have them take a look at your CV joints.
