Not with a 2001 with the VQ30DE-K. You just move some wires out of the way and you can reach the rear plugs/coils easily.
If you've ever changed the plugs on a car before, you can do it on this one. Just remove the coil (one 10mm bolt and pull out) and use a spark plug socket to get the plug out. You'll need a pretty long extension to get the rears out, but it's very possible without removing the upper IM (which is a PITA on the DE-K since it has so many bolts in the back, unlike our VQ35s)
