Hey Everyone, I'm a newbie here. I just changed the air filter in my g/f Q45 and had unplugged some sensor in the process, the one that connects to the intake. I forgot to plug the sensor back in (doh!) and as a result the check engine/service light came on immediately when i started the car. The engine also idled high.

Now the sensor is plugged back in, the car idles normal and runs fine. But I can't figure out how to turn the check engine light off. Please help!!! ~TIA

You can take it to autozone and they will reset the light for free.

Yes. You can also rent a basic scan tool (for free) from Autozone and do it yourself ... pretty easy, even for a software guy like me!

you can got to autozone and they will let you use the OBD2 tool for FREE and you have to do it yourself ... plug in OBD port on bottom of dirverside under the dash next to the hood release... and turn ignition to ON do not start car or you can it does not matter anyway pres READ AND SEE WHAT YOU GET and then press RESET.... OR THE EASY WAY TO DO IT IS DISCONNECT THE BATT FOR LIKE 30 MIN THAT SHOULD TAKE CARE OF IT.....BUT BUT BUT IT WILL BE A GOOD IDEA TO GO READ THE COMPUTER MAYBE YOU HAVE SOME OTHER CODES INTHERE ( LIKE KNOCK SENSORS WICH WILL NOT GIVE A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT EVERRRRRRRRRRR) THE CAR WILL JUST RUN CRAPPY
