OK, so asking where the spark plugs are located is probably not a good sign of competence, but...well, I'm going to change them. So it'd be helpful to know where they're located.

I'm guessing they're on top of the engine under the parts that are held in place by two gold hex bolts??

Just don't want to start tearing into something to find it's wrong...

Any hints and/or advice for doing this job?

Use OEM Nissan sparkplugs, anything else is asking for trouble.

Found them on http://www.ngk.com for $11.71/each, but I haven't purchased from this site before. Same part number, so I'm assuming they're the same plugs.

I Just had my plugs changed last week and Infiniti of Orland (Illinois)charges $11.25 per plug. I didn't have the dealer do it, but that's where my mechanic got them from.

That locking socket is a great Idea ..If it came off the extension down there it would be a bugger to get out .

you might want to add some spark plug grease (available in little packets at most auto parts stores) to the threads and the electrode tip...There are two kinds...one for the threads, which prevents corrosion and rust to set in on the threads, so the next time you replace them theyre easier to get out. The other is di-electric grease for the electrode parts which help the electrical connection in the spark plug boot, as well as help resist corrosion.

thats a very good idea, they can easily seize in the aluminum heads.

either way, the anti-sieze on the threads will make it easier to remove them in the future, and the di-electric grease will make the boots remove easier and provide optimum contact within the boot.
