Hey guys im new to the forums and have a quick question. I have a 1991 300zx na and my clutch pedal has to be slammed to the floor in order for the engine to turn over. The clutch was recently replaced by previous owner. Could the cause be from him installing the new clutch or do I need to adjust the clutch pedal. Any info would be much appreciated.

Most cars need the clutch fully depressed to start the car. That's where the clutch safety switch is, at the end of the pedal travel.

Thanks for the reply ace, I know most cars need the pedal fully depressed in order for the car to start. I should've been more specific on my description, sorry about that. My car won't start unless I have my foot pushing down on the pedal with excessive force.

Ah, then try bleeding it. Also see if there's any fluid leaking from the slave cylinder.

Wait, are you saying it tries to turn over and can't, or it won't even try to turn over?

If it won't try, the switch has an adjustment. Just climb up under the dash and adjust the switch. It'll be pretty easy to figure out.

If it's trying and can't turn over, then do bleeding and inspection. Also, the clutch pedal has an adjustment rod on it that connects the pedal to the master cylinder.

I'd definitely adjust the pedal as well.
