Adjusting

Tools

-7mm socket-7mm open end wrench-multimeter

You adjust TPS by loosening 2-7mm bolts and rotating tps until you read .44 volts on your multimeter or you can use Consult software. You take the reading with the ignition on and the connector connected. You have to back probe the connector. Inspect TPS for corrosion. The throttle is closed when you measure .44 volts.

FSM has it wrong - you need to test the signal and the ground wires
Ignition is OFF
You need to DISCONNECT the connector
So you have the connector coming off the TPS
Look at the terminal side (pins not wires)
Locking clip on top - left to right 1 - 2 - 3
1 - Light Green/Red Stripe - Power - Pin # 37 on ECU
2 - Black - Ground - Pins #21 & 29 on ECU
3 - White - Signal - Pin #20 on ECU - Signal wire is always sheilded so does not get distorted
Check termianls 2 & 3 not 1 & 2 like FSM shows.
If you check 1 & 2 your readings will be backwards. Ex. approx. 2 ohms @ WOT & approx. 10 ohms @ no throttle

I am uploading a video on youtube - since I have seen so many people with this issue - which I did as well
