Up for sale is a very original ’67 411 Wagon. The original white paint shows a nice patina that still shines. The red vinyl seats have been recovered and offer good support. The rest of the interior is original and in very nice condition. The 1600 Fairlady four fires up and runs nicely through twin side-draft carbs. The column shifted automatic transmission shifts well in all gears. The car is badged as an SSS however I haven’t been able to find proof of a factory SSS wagon having been produced. The larger engine is present so this may be more appropriately called a 411 1600 wagon. The car has received a recent tune up and is ready to be driven. Asking $9500 or best offer. Feel free to email with questions. The car is in Athens, GA with a clear title.

"SSS" badge on the front grill. PL411 wheel covers. Misrouted heater hoses. Some discrepancies but a very good condition vehicle. Question, 4 on the floor or British Borg Warner automatic transmision?

"Car Number" for a 1967 WR411 should be a "6" for the first digit of a 1967 WRL411. This appears to be an "8" which would imply a later Okinawa version. Not an 1967 North American/Canadian export version. The engine number is very fuzzy on my computer but appears to be higher than "1" so may be a later metric, not SAE engine which may really enhance my "Okinawan" origin supposotion.

BTY. I looked again and you do have the British Borg Warner M35 automatic transmission. Later American [and I hope not other market] versions had the American Muncie Indiana Borg Warner T35 Transmission.

You are correct, the Car number does appear to be stamped 801621 and the Engine number is stamped 29455. It's much easier to read when converted to negative image.

Good Luck with the sale! You just might have a very rare WRL411 variant, a non North American WRL411 wagon! I have seen one other variant of a suspect RL411 Okinawa sedan in these pages several years ago. It was an apparent GI bought sedan in Okinawa and later repatrioted when the owner returnes to the CONUS. The only other happening was as taxi at the Greek Athens airport which I rapidly saw in an easily forgotten movie involving Gem smugglers into Greece,

SSS emblem is in the correct location. Pics clearly show it's an automatic.
