Hi Everyone...new to the site.

I have been searching these forums forever, cant seem to find this info at all, no youtube videos...like it doesnt exist. lol. Anyway i am currently trying to install a FM Band Expander in my 08 Nissan Fuga. Here is what i have done so far.
Removed cup tray and worked my way up to the deck...took out the deck and looked behind.. no antenna plug, damn. So now i am totally lost and confused. Does anyone have any idea where i would need to install the FM Band expander converter.

Hi, welcome to the site.

I recommend you take a look at the factory service manual for the car to see what the wiring schematic for the radio suggests. Click on the FAQ link in my signature and then from there go to the manuals section.

I had a band expander installed by the dealer I bought my car (06 450GT) from - on the left hand side (looking at the back of the CD stacker unit) there is a 3 wide 1 high connector which is the antenna connector. The dealer rigged up an adapter for the standard barrel type antenna connector.

Do you mean in the truck?...or by the deck area.

My band expander is connected to the grey socket in the top right of this image:

Which is found on the back of this:

Mine has been rigged up with adapters, but it seems you can buy the right kinds from these guys: http://www.bandexpanders.co.nz/BXP-14NIS2.html

Glad I could help!

Word of advice when it comes to band expanders if you haven't used them before - They have a shift frequency, usually 10, 12, 14 or 18MHz, and you will be able to pick up both the original frequency and the shifted one. If your favourite radio station is on, say 96.6MHz, but there's also one on 86.6, a 10MHz band expander will just end up giving you two fighting radio stations and a load of static. If 84.6 is clear, then the 12MHz shift is the one to go for.

I always wondered... if i perhaps purchase the OEM Factory Radio for the Infinti of the same year (So i wont need to purchase a band expander of course)... would it work in my Japanese imported Nissan Fuga. Because i did find a used Infiniti M35 OEM deck for $217... would definately be interested in purchasing that instead.
