07 Xterra rear seal woes

Just noticed that the pinion seal at the rear diff is leaking and slinging oil. I did a quick web search and it sounds like others have had similar problems. Anyone else had this happen to them? I'm assuming it will be covered by the 60K drivetrain warranty. I threw some more fluid into it, but it looks like it has been slinging fluid for some time now. Bummer.
