07 QX56 Fan either on High or Off

My QX56 fan system stopped working properly. It will turn on, but only on full blast. I can also turn it off, but nothing in between.

I've read a lot of posts, and the areas people pointed to are Front Blower relay, Resistor, or amplifier. Is this just three different ways of saying the same thing?

Also where can I find it? Anything more specific than behind the glovebox would be helpful. A picture would be great. I've looked at all the service manuals and under the dashboard and I'm just not able to pinpoint it.

Also any suggestions on how to remove the glove box? The side pin comes out easily, but I don't want to break the top pin by pulling/bending too hard. Do I need to remove the dashboard cover to do this repair?

Any help would be appreciated.

That is most likely going to be the resistor, which is located somewhere behind the dash within the HVAC system.
