I know this has been dug into the ground, and I have searched and searched, but are there any fixes to the oil dipstick problem to date? Its 2015 you would think something would have been done? no? ..anyway when I check my oil it comes out splotchy, little on the tip and a little above the H, and spots in the middle. I hate it! there has got to be some work around for this problem.... please help..thanks

Either wait a 1/2 hour after shutting off your engine or park on flat ground and check it in the morning prior to starting your vehicle. You can check it at any mall parking lot on flat ground after you return to your car.
The oil has to drain out of the tube that holds the dipstick.

I no longer have the problem on my 2012

Last time I checked it it had been sitting for a while, about 6 hours. but it still came out with oil up at the top of the dipstick and at the tip and smears and drops in the middle

car just sat for 8 hours, ( i work night shift) just checked the first pull, and it looked good, the second pull not so good, still splotchy. I am no certified mechanic, but I would think that after 8 hours of sitting, the first pull should give a fairly accurate reading due to gravity, ? am i wrong?

I was carefully monitoring my oil consumption on my previous 06 G35.
It was sometimes difficult to get a good reading but Infiniti did improve the dipstick on the G37

My 06 G35 dipstick in a vise with a mm ruler measuring oil consumption.
I always checked my oil weekly
I never qualified for a new engine but sometimes used a qt/1000 miles
Other times 1 qt per 2000 miles
I just added oil when it needed a 1/2 qt and traded it in at 171796 miles
